Have I ever told you, M. Phisto, how much I have grown to like Anarchists such as yourself? Actually, it's more a case of discovering something new about one's self, helped along by a here-to-fore-unknown fellow traveller.
Well, you have me pegged, at least I WANT to live, and I DON'T want to hate, but I guess even haters would answer so.
But I think you are right about us, because I think that quote is another way of saying the famous, "Live, and let live." Now, we extremely-skeptical-nonconformists (pretty sure we're both that) can find that adage tough to live up to (excuse the pun), but it's practically burned into every Libertarian, and basically a necessary a priori for ANY successful Anarchy (I think you would agree).
Actually, I find it easy to avoid hating anything, really, even the type of Authoritarian Socialist who understands how bad Authoritarian Socialism is for humanity. Maybe because I can disagree so easily, without anger or guilt!
Now FEAR of Authoritarian Socialist....THAT is hard to avoid. Kinda makes live and let live (that sob) a little harder hill to climb.
In HS a very long time ago I had a button on my schoolbag saying "Anarchists Unite!" And a very earnest girl looked at it and shook her head reprovingly.
Unfortunately I think she was the type more likely to have been walking around with a copy of "Ariel" tucked under her arm rather than MAD Magazine, so I doubt any philosophy might have brought us together.

I guess it's about time I subscribed, eh?
So happy to have you, Tim. It's been fun getting to know you over the past months.
I heard something very good last night and I think you'll enjoy it: "There are two kinds of people. Those that hate, and those that want to live."
I like to think that whatever else we may be, we're both the latter kind of folk.

If the State pushes too far, we're no longer obliged to them regarding live and let live.
