I have an idea rolling around in my head and suspect this feature might be one way to explore it. In the United States, what passes for the “right” and the “left” on the political spectrum are coming to blows more and more frequently. If one refuses to take a side, what is the best way to navigate this churn?
I'm convinced that if we can get local sheriffs in the US to side with the people that vote them into office they could form county posses' which is the county version of the "militia". If enough do it within a state they can then form a state militia and at that time other sheriffs and governors will start doing the same thing. Eventually there will be enough viable militias to stave off any issues caused by the Federal control freak parasites. It really is the feds who are pushing us to the edge of the cliff.
A quote that is pertinent. Referred to in modern times as an individual’s right to carry and use arms for self-defense, the Second Amendment was envisioned by the framers of the Constitution, according to College of William and Mary law professor and future U.S. District Court judge St. George Tucker in 1803 in his great work Blackstone’s Commentaries: With Notes of Reference to the Constitution and Laws of the Federal Government of the United States and of the Commonwealth of Virginia, as the “true palladium of liberty.” In addition to checking federal power, the Second Amendment also provided state governments with what Luther Martin (1744/48–1826) described as the “last coup de grace” that would enable the states “to thwart and oppose the general government.” Last, it enshrined the ancient Florentine and Roman constitutional principle of civil and military virtue by making every citizen a soldier and every soldier a citizen.
I think left and bat right. Play hockey left and otherwise ambidextrous including being bisexual, though at any given time I may look to be straight or gay. What is the question again?
I know I'm late, but to catch up, I like to dive bomb. I could pop up anywhere, anytime, in anyone's sacred thread, and if anyone objects, I'ma gonna troll-bomb yer posts.....oh, wait....this isn't Discus, is it....never mind (well, the belligerent part, which was probably the most entertaining, so my bad).

I believe you once told me look around at local issues and politics and start there.

I have a lot to say on this subject, but I am reviewing all of it over a fat one first.

What I said in the first sentence. Uh....see ya!

My opinion: Don't show your ass.
I greatly admire Nestor Makhno, but he showed his ass too early.
I recommend throwing the coins and getting the I Ching to create a couple hexagrams before acting. It worked for me with the Rittenhouse verdict.
