It’s my birthday today, so I’m taking off for this week’s Forest Lessons. Lucky for you, dear reader, a student of mine had something important to say. Names have been changed to protect the innocent. Lightly edited for grammar and spelling.
Remember, this isn’t about me. This isn’t about you. It’s about what we leave behind for those that follow. Our children.
Thank you, Mr. Sobanii.
You are one hell of an amazing teacher. Your enthusiasm is definitely something that is just you.
Without you I probably wouldn’t have even brought up the robotics idea, and thanks for actually agreeing to the idea. I hope that this team we go to start sparks a legacy in our school and that we are remembered for this even years to come. Maybe we can write about the whole startup and leave it for the kids of will walk the halls in the future.
So thank you for being an amazing teacher.
Dreams don’t have deadlines. I’m thinking of doing bigger and better things and having more fun with it.
After leaving me with a quote from the illustrious LL Cool J, I am reminded of a Latin proverb.
Plan as if you’ll live forever. Live as if you’ll die tomorrow.
There’s always hope, folks. Always. See you next week.
🎶Happy Birthday to you
You live in a zoo
You look like a shitpost-er
And you smell like one too🎶
